Accessing DVR Cameras in Windows 11 using Microsoft Edge

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE TO WINDOWS 11. This guide is intended for users who are already using Windows 11. As it is a brand new OS (Operating System), we want to ensure that all of our systems are stable and supported before performing a full migration. We will keep you apprised on future updates. Microsoft may prompt you to update to Windows 11. Please decline their offers until further notice.

Step 1 - Open Microsoft Edge.

Step 2 - Click the "Settings and More" button located at the upper-right of the Edge window, indicated by 3 Horizontal Dots.

 

Step 3 - Click on "Settings" near the bottom of the dropdown.

Step 4 - Choose "Default Browser" in the Settings Window.

Step 5 - Change Default browser Settings:

  • Let Internet Explorer open sites in Microsoft Edge - change to NEVER
  • Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode - change to ALLOW (a Restart button will appear when you modify this; do not click Restart yet)
  • Internet Explorer mode pages - click Add and then paste in the following URL: https://tb-us.teamlyders.com/secure/security/dvr-report/
  • After pasting the URL into the field box, click the blue Add button and then click the blue Restart button indicated by a counterclockwise arrow. This will relaunch Edge with the new settings.

NOTE: The URL will expire after 30 days, as Microsoft is attemping to push Edge and Windows 11 as the standard, so you may have to repeat this step in the future.

Step 6 - After Edge restarts, navigate to https://tb-us.teamlyders.com/secure/security/dvr-report/ and login using your Team Lyders credentials .  Notice the Internet Explorer icon next to the URL field, indicating that you are in IE mode.

NOTE: Edge will prompt you to leave and resume browsing in Edge (and may do so multiple times). Click the X on the upper-right of the banner pop-up, or just ignore the prompts. Do not click Leave.

Step 7 - Click on the DVR Access link and then choose which store you wish to view.

Step 8 - You may get prompted to "Allow" or "Install" certain components. Follow these prompts and the DVR Camera System should load successfully
